NBC News has released yet another more personal and glowing review of GW2

In this interview with Mike O’Brien, it’s clear GW2 is enjoying massive success! Mike says that he’d rather stop selling GW2 temporarily to protect the game experience of those who have already purchased! Apparently, so many people have bought that game that the servers are reaching their capacity!

On this note, at 5:17 PM – 30 Aug 12, Arena net notified the community via Twitter and Facebook that sales from will be disabled immediately!

Ensuring the best possible play experience for our fans is our highest priority. We’ve said before that we would be willing to temporarily disable first-party digital sales if we felt our high player concurrency may compromise player experiences. We have now reached that point.

Furthermore, according to this article, you may be seeing more Chinese players, as Arena net takes steps to sell GW2 in mainland China!

And finally, I’m sure you’ve all heard of the first player to reach level 80. Well now you can learn more! Head on over to GW2 Guru for an interview with Surfeuze.

What types of content did you rush to or away from to help max out your leveling?
Since the WvW was down on Vizunah Square (and since it isn’t the fastest way to level) we didn’t use it at all. The whole leveling was done in PvE: the first 60 levels were done by completing “renown hearts” and dynamic events, the last 20 using craft.
