”Wait….Who is that? That’s not ValerieAnneC”. You must be asking yourself. Well you are totally right, my name is Jalinar. You might recognize my name since I’ve been mentioned here and there on the website. I’ve also sent quite a few deciphered signs that were featured here and I am as active as possible on our forums. One day, Valerie (Or Naveen) just offered me to co-write with her so here I am.
Now, enough about me and more about signs. Since this last BWE, we received a lot of signs from our readers. From books to alcohol and even some asuran.
Our first picture comes Kaysee, one of our authors : A banner found at the entrance of Minister Wi’s estate:
She also sent us a screenshot of a painting in the minister’s house:
And finally, she found some rather interesting bottles of alcohol from a tavern:
In New Krytan:
As well as in Old Ascalonian:
Some of these names might sounds familiar to you if you played Guild Wars1 and you are correct.
First off, we have Zehtuka which was a character from Nightfall. He was a hunter who took credit for the deeds the real heroes had done. He was know to have single-handily defeated the Drought and Apocrypha even though we know he didn’t. He was also part of a mini-game in Tihark Orchard. If you stole his drink during the mini-game, he would become hostile,
Then we have the rice wine. This drink was introduced in Factions and is well known for being a very common item to find during festivities.
Finally, an unforgettable character from Prophecies and Eye of the North, Kilroy Stonekin. His name and behavior was obviously inspired by the infamous Leeroy Jenkins. Kilroy always ran into battle head-on and saying his name. But from a lore stand-point, he was one of the dwarves we helped in Sorrow’s Furnace in order to avenge the death of his family to the Stone Summit.
All the continent of Tyria are together in a single inn.
Last but not least, a screenshot of a map of Tyria sent in by Jenna.
Part two of BWE3 will be coming next week. So stay tuned!
If you have some screenshots waiting to be deciphered, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org!
